Unlike most other brands, we make all our bags in our own factory in England. This means we are unusually well placed to cater for the requirements of customers who want something a bit different whether it’s a bag in a different colour specification, a modified design or something completely new and unusual. Over the years we have made a huge variety of bespoke styles for our clients: specialist car luggage, bespoke hunting and fishing bags, polo bags, ski bags, tennis bags, picnic bags, work bags for applications like photography and surveying, bespoke luggage, even stud farm bags for feeding horses!

So if you cannot find the bag you want in our range, we may be able to make a bag to your own personal specification. Please call us to discuss your requirements on 01228 514514 or email us at bespoke@chapmanbags.com. Please note, however, that making a bespoke commission takes time! You should allow a minimum of 4-8 weeks, depending on the nature of your requirements, for your bag to be made. Please also note that bespoke commissions, once ordered and paid for, cannot be canceled or returned once work has commenced on the commission.

We stock a wide range of colours in our fine cotton canvas drill. Swatches of these colours are shown here. We also stock seasonal colours in our heavy duty 24oz British dyed and proofed “pinhead” or “flatweave” canvas, which are also shown on our Swatches page. Our stock leathers are tan, dark brown and black. We offer hardware in brass or nickel plated brass (silver finish) and we stock a wide range of parachute webbing colours in 32mm and 50mm. You can specify a bag in any combination of these materials. If you want a full leather bag, we also stock various leathers in addition to our standard full grain black and pull-up brown.

We generally charge a 10-20% premium for a bespoke bag, depending on the amount of extra work involved. The price will be confirmed to you on confirmation of your specification and order. We will inform you of the likely despatch date of your bag on receipt of your order. We require payment in advance for bespoke commissions and, once work has commenced, they cannot be canceled, refunded or returned. Our normal product guarantee applies.
