John Chapman makes hand crafted canvas, tweed and leather bags and luggage for men and women. All our bags are Made in England in our own factory in Carlisle, Cumbria, using traditional Craftsmanship and British made materials wherever possible.  Originally a manufacturer of fishing and shooting bags, we now offer a wide range of shoulder bags, briefcases, rucksacks, handbags, totes, luggage and accessories. Our online store features shops for Men, Women and Rod & Gun enthusiasts. We also offer a Made to Order service if you would like a bespoke product made for you. We sell our products all over the world and deliver to most countries. A selection of the products we offer online is also available in leading European and Asian retailers.

Our Men’s range includes collections in canvas, tweed, Yorkshire Wool and leather, including the Chapman Original collection in traditional khaki and olive green canvas, the Modern Classics collection in a range of contemporary colours and styles, the Airborne collection of military inspired styles in rugged 24oz canvas, the Yorkshire Wool collection in authentic Yorkshire woven wool, the Estate collection in Border tweed and the Reiver collection in full grain vegetable tanned leather.
