No matter where you plan on going this summer, the perfect companion has to be a vibrant Chapman Summer Saddle Bag – anyone for tennis?
With Wimbledon 2017 well under way and some of our homegrown talent looking as if they may be in contention for the converted accolade of tournament champion, you may find yourself thinking that heading off to SW19 is a great idea.
Andy Murray is showing little sign of the hip injury he is rumoured to have been suffering from pre-tournament, while the likes of Johanna Konta are making great headway and waving the Union Jack as they go.
Wimbledon is a great place to see, to be seen and what better event to show off your new lime green summer saddle bag than at the holy grail of the tennis circuit.
If, however, Wimbledon is not your idea of a smashing time, then there are a plenty of other events where you can strut your stuff and swing your bag.
The Game Fair – Hatfield House, Hertfordshire
If you are looking for an event that is altogether more countryfied, then the Game Fair is celebrating its 59th year in July 2017 and here our jaffa orange saddle bag will really set temperatures rising.
Visitors can take part in a number of country pursuits, with fly fishing, shooting and falconry all on the agenda. The event is also a mecca for foodies, and shoppers can browse stalls selling a range of country wares, art, cars, fashion and other unique country products.
Being held at Hatfield House for the first time, and offering superb facilities and entertainment, such as dog crèche, helipad, show jumping, 4×4 off-road experience, Village Green cricket and Cream Teas – this event is where old meets new in the very best of country living.
Whilst the £800 cost of putting on the first Game Fair in 1958 was £300 over budget, the size and cost of this event has grown, making it the largest country festival in Europe. Let’s hope for some Game Fair weather.
The Game Fair: July 28-30, 2017
Cowes Week – Isle of Wight
Keep your feet on terra firma or take to the water with our sky blue saddle bag for a closer look at the spectacular yachts taking part in the Sevenstar Triple Crown Regatta, the highlight of Cowes Week.
Sport and adventure is all around during this, the oldest and largest annual sailing regatta in the world and we’re sure you’ll want to make a splash. There are Champagne Sailing experiences, where you can take to the helm of a race yacht, while shore side, smoked salmon canapes and Pimm’s punctuate the ELEMIS Ladies Day evening reception.
The carnival atmosphere and world-class racing – over 40 daily races – is a sight not to miss at Cowes Week, one of the best events in the sporting calendar.
Cowes Week: July 29 – Aug 5, 2017
The Summer House Weekend
Held at a secret location, with the venue only being revealed to those who purchase tickets, The Summer House Weekend is shrouded in secrecy. All we do know about the location is that it is a grand house approximately 2 hours drive from London.
There is a varied programme of events; wood fired hot tubs and saunas, workshops that include crafts and dance, a dress to impress dinner and a procession and fire show where our pink saddle bag would surely fit the bill.
The event is intended for those who seek cultured adventure and who will embrace the Summer House Weekend ethos.
The Summer House Weekend: Aug 17-21, 2017
